After taking home the gold medal from the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, Pakistan’s most famous athlete, Arshad Nadeem, is expected to be greeted with heroism upon his homecoming on Saturday.
Malik Faisal, Punjab’s minister of sports, will personally welcome the gold medallist when he arrives in Pakistan tonight, according to confirmation from Parvez Iqbal, the director general of Sports Punjab.
At one in the morning (PST), Arshad Nadeem is anticipated to touch down at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport. Minister Faisal and his family will greet him with great affection, marking a momentous occasion for the country.

Olympic gold medallist Arshad Nadeem will be personally greeted by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif at the Lahore airport. Nadeem, who just won the 2024 Summer Olympics’ javelin throw final, will arrive from Istanbul on Saturday night at one in the morning.
Party members are urged to greet Nadeem with enthusiasm at the airport by Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari and President Asif Ali Zardari. Nadeem’s return to Pakistan would be accompanied by Mohammad Akram Sahi, Chairman of South Asian Athletics.
Arshad Nadeem became Pakistan’s first-ever individual Olympic gold medallist as he threw a remarkable 92.97 meters, breaking previous records. His throw eclipsed the previous record of 90.57 meters, which Andreas Thorkildsen of Norway had held since 2008.
