Saudi fast food chain Al Baik set to open outlets across Pakistan

The renowned Saudi fast-food chain, Al-Baik, is preparing to enter the Pakistani market, following the signing of a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Gas and Oil Pakistan Ltd (Go) and Al-Baik Food System Company. This marks a pivotal step in bringing one of the Middle East’s most beloved food brands to South Asia.

The MoU was signed on Thursday during a high-profile event attended by Saudi Minister of Investment, Engineer Khalid Al-Falih, and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The two leaders witnessed the signing of multiple agreements between Saudi and Pakistani businesses, with deals exceeding $2 billion. These agreements, part of a broader push for economic collaboration, signal stronger ties between the two countries.

The partnership between Al-Baik and Go is seen as part of Saudi Vision 2030’s broader agenda, which focuses on leveraging national expertise and expanding Saudi businesses globally. Al-Baik’s entry into Pakistan reflects this mission, aiming to capture a new market while showcasing Saudi innovation and entrepreneurship on an international scale.

Al-Baik, headquartered in Jeddah, has long been celebrated for its iconic broasted and fried chicken, accompanied by a unique variety of sauces that have earned the brand a devoted following. What sets Al-Baik apart is its commitment to quality, affordability, and consistency, making it a household name in Saudi Arabia and a sought-after brand internationally.

Currently, Al-Baik stands as the largest restaurant chain in Saudi Arabia, boasting a strong presence across the kingdom. With trademarks registered in over 80 countries, the chain has global ambitions, and its expansion into Pakistan marks a significant milestone in its international growth strategy.

The launch of Al-Baik in Pakistan is expected to generate considerable excitement among food enthusiasts, and it may pave the way for further investments in the region. Pakistan, with its large population and vibrant fast-food market, offers a promising landscape for Al-Baik’s continued expansion, potentially leading to further collaborations and business ventures between the two nations.

Al-Baik’s entry into Pakistan is not just about introducing a new food chain but also about fostering cultural and economic ties, building on the strong relationship between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.
