Nishat Group’s NexGen Auto has officially announced the prices of the all-electric JAECOO J5 BEV in Pakistan, marking a significant milestone for the country’s automotive industry. The JAECOO J5 BEV is Pakistan’s first locally assembled electric SUV, with the ex-factory price starting at PKR 5,999,000. The vehicle will be available in two variants: the JAECOO J5 BEV Comfort at an ex-factory price of PKR 5,999,000 (Booking Amount: PKR 1,200,000) and the JAECOO J5 BEV Premium at PKR 6,699,000 (Booking Amount: PKR 1,500,000).
Locally assembled by NexGen Auto, a subsidiary of Nishat Group, the JAECOO J5 BEV represents an important step towards strengthening Pakistan’s electric vehicle ecosystem and advancing local automotive manufacturing. Its introduction reflects the growing shift towards electric mobility and brings a locally assembled, fully electric SUV to Pakistani customers.
The JAECOO J5 BEV is equipped with a 49.5 kWh battery pack, delivering a driving range of up to 405 km NEDC on a single charge. Both Comfort and Premium variants offer the same battery capacity and driving range, providing customers with a long range. To further enhance the ownership experience, customers will also receive a complimentary 11kW home charger and a free spare tyre. A spare tyre with an EV is something unheard of, but Nishat Group has provided it keeping customer peace of mind at the forefront.
The JAECOO J5 HEV and JAECOO J7 PHEV collectively have surpassed 15,000 locally assembled units. This new introduction of an all-electric SUV further adds to their commitment towards sustainable mobility.
A Milestone for Pakistan’s Automotive Industry
The introduction of Pakistan’s first locally assembled electric SUV builds on Nishat Group’s continued investment in the country’s automotive sector. Through its subsidiary NexGen Auto, the group introduced OMODA and JAECOO to Pakistan in August 2025, bringing a new generation of SUVs, hybrid vehicles and fully electric models to the local market.
