The outstanding leaders making important contributions to education in Latin America, Asia, and Africa have been recognized with the World Education Medals. Baela Raza Jamil is notable among the finalists since she is the only one from Pakistan.
The World Education Medals were established by T4 Education and HP to honor those who have made a significant contribution to the area of education via leadership and advocacy. The esteemed education advocate Baela Raza Jamil of Pakistan has made the short list for this important honor.
“I would like to thank Baela for her over three decades of dedicated service and her unwavering commitment to providing quality education to all in Pakistan,” said Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat, expressing his appreciation for Jamil.
Jamil is praised for her ceaseless efforts to improve Pakistani education. The country’s educational system has been greatly affected by her services through Idara-e-Taleem-o-Aagahi and the Sanjan Nagar School, a trailblazing IB school dedicated to transformational education for females.
She has led nationwide campaigns for early childhood education, education for girls, and education in times of crisis, affecting thousands of teachers and more than 20 million students in Pakistan and other countries. Her partnerships with local communities, governments, and international organizations have made education more widely available and important.
