In Punjabi history, Fatima is the third woman to hold the position of CTO for Rawalpindi.

As the first woman to occupy the role since the City Traffic Police’s founding in 2007, Fatima is the daughter-in-law of a former Inspector General of Police Punjab and has been selected as Rawalpindi’s Chief Traffic Officer (CTO). She is also the third woman in Punjabi history to hold the position of CTO, after Aisha Butt in Gujranwala and Ammara Athar in Lahore.

Traffic wardens greeted Taimoor Khan, the departing Chief Traffic Officer, with flowers as a heartfelt farewell. He has held the position since November 18, 2022. Throughout his term, Khan implemented many changes, such as the establishment of new driving schools supervised by traffic police and the expansion of learner and licensing facilities.
