An important turning point in the history of mixed martial arts (MMA) is being reached as Pakistan is hosting the renowned tournament for the first time. The much awaited bout between Indian boxer Shrikant and Pakistani fighter Rizwan Ali will open the competition.
Twelve nations will be represented in the tournament, and Lahore will also play home to the Brave Combat, which will have eleven teams. Rana Mashhood, the Chairman of the Prime Minister Youth Program, will be the main guest at the inauguration ceremony.
More than 180 combatants will compete, backed by 120 officials and 120 technical personnel. The President of the Pakistan MMA Federation, Umar Ahmed, stated his satisfaction in organizing the competition and assured all competing teams—including India—of first-rate hospitality.
