According to officials, the licences issued include learning licences, regular licences, renewals, and international driving licences. These were processed through a combination of physical service centres and a fully functional online portal, allowing people to choose the option most convenient for them.
A standout feature of this initiative was the home-based licensing system, which proved extremely popular. More than one million citizens used this service to apply for and receive their driving licences without visiting an office. This not only saved time but also reduced overcrowding at licensing centres and made the process more accessible for women, elderly citizens, and people living in remote areas.
Authorities said that the use of digital tools and improved management helped clear long backlogs and ensured applications were processed quickly.
