Pakistan has extended the closure of its airspace for Indian aircraft for another month, keeping the restriction in place until January 24, 2026, according to a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) issued by the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) on Wednesday.
Under the new NOTAM, the airspace ban will remain effective from December 16, 2025, to January 24, 2026 (Pakistan Standard Time). The restriction applies to all Indian-owned, operated, or leased aircraft, including military flights.

As a result, no Indian airline or aircraft is permitted to enter or transit through Pakistan’s airspace during this period. The extension continues the existing policy and maintains the current aviation restrictions between the two countries.
The Pakistan Airports Authority has formally communicated the updated NOTAM to international aviation bodies and relevant stakeholders to ensure compliance and avoid operational disruptions.
