Islamabad Police have begun taking strict disciplinary action against officials who refused to perform duty assignments in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and Gilgit-Baltistan. The move highlights the department’s commitment to maintaining discipline and ensuring that official orders are followed.

According to official records, at least one police constable has been dismissed from service after allegedly failing to comply with repeated instructions regarding election-related deployment. The officer, identified as Ahmad Ali, was accused of misconduct and inefficiency for not reporting for duty despite receiving clear orders from senior authorities.

Officials stated that Ahmad Ali was directed to report to Police Lines Headquarters and join election duty in Azad Kashmir. However, he reportedly ignored multiple instructions and failed to appear for deployment. The department viewed this behavior as a serious breach of discipline and a violation of the police chain of command.
