A farewell meeting was held between Punjab Adviser on Artificial Intelligence and Special Initiatives, Ali Dar, and Marilina Armellin, highlighting the strong and growing relationship between Pakistan and Italy.
During the meeting, both sides discussed ways to further strengthen bilateral cooperation in trade, education, technology, and development. Ali Dar praised Ambassador Marilina Armellin for her valuable contribution to improving relations between Pakistan and Italy during her tenure.
Ali Dar conveyed best wishes from Maryam Nawaz Sharif for the ambassador’s future responsibilities and expressed hope for her continued success. In response, Ambassador Armellin extended her wishes for the chief minister’s speedy recovery and good health.
The discussion also focused on Punjab’s ongoing reforms and development initiatives. Ali Dar said that under the vision of Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Punjab is being transformed into a hub for investment, innovation, and modern technology. He emphasized that international partnerships play a vital role in achieving sustainable economic growth.

According to Ali Dar, Pakistan and Italy share a relationship built on mutual respect, friendship, and cooperation. The adviser stressed that global cooperation in AI and innovative technologies is becoming increasingly important in today’s rapidly changing world. He added that stronger international collaboration can help create new educational, employment, and skills-development opportunities for young people.
Both sides expressed optimism about the future of Pakistan–Italy relations and agreed that trade, academic exchanges, and technical cooperation can be expanded further.
