Chairperson of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), Senator Rubina Khalid, has announced an increase in stipends for beneficiaries of the Benazir Taleemi Wazaif and Benazir Nashonuma programs, bringing welcome relief to thousands of deserving families across Pakistan.
According to the announcement, the stipend provided under the Benazir Taleemi Wazaif program has been increased by 500 rupees for each registered child who is currently receiving educational support through the initiative. The program aims to encourage school enrollment and regular attendance among children from low-income families by providing financial assistance to help cover basic educational expenses.

Similarly, beneficiaries of the Benazir Nashonuma Program, which focuses on improving the health and nutrition of mothers and young children, will also receive an additional 500 rupees per child. This program plays a vital role in supporting pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and children under the age of two by helping families meet essential nutritional and healthcare needs.
Senator Rubina Khalid said that the increase reflects the government’s commitment to supporting vulnerable families and investing in the future of Pakistan’s children. She emphasized that education and child development remain key priorities, and such initiatives are designed to reduce poverty while promoting better health and learning opportunities.
