Pakistan’s national cricketer Imad Wasim has confirmed his separation from his wife Kiran Ashfaq, announcing that he has filed for divorce. The confirmation came through a statement shared on his Instagram account.
In his post, Imad Wasim said that after “considerable thought” and due to ongoing conflicts over the past few years that could not be resolved, he decided to proceed with divorce. He requested the public and media to respect their privacy during this difficult time.
“I sincerely request everyone to respect our privacy and refrain from using or sharing old couple photos,” he wrote. He also asked people not to refer to Kiran Ashfaq as his spouse in the future.

Imad further urged fans and the public not to believe or spread misleading narratives regarding the matter. He warned that any attempt to defame or unnecessarily involve others in this personal issue would be dealt with through appropriate legal channels if required.
Addressing concerns regarding their children, Imad Wasim clarified that he will continue to fulfill his responsibilities as a father. “As far as the children are concerned, I will remain their father and will take complete and responsible care of them,” he stated.
Imad Wasim and Kiran Ashfaq were married in 2019 and have three children together.
The all-rounder, who retired from international cricket in December 2024, is currently playing in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). The news of their separation has drawn attention on social media, with many fans expressing support and requesting privacy for the family during this period.
