There is a strong possibility of a significant increase in petroleum product prices across the country starting February 1, according to sources. The price of high-speed diesel is expected to rise by Rs9.47 per liter, while light diesel oil may see an increase of Rs6.95 per liter. Additionally, the price of kerosene oil is likely to go up by Rs3.69 per liter.
In contrast, sources suggest that petrol prices may decrease slightly by 36 paisas per liter, offering minimal relief to consumers. The expected adjustments are linked to international market trends and pricing calculations.

Industry sources stated that OGRA will send its working paper to the Petroleum Division on January 30. The Ministry of Finance, in consultation with the Prime Minister, will make the final decision regarding petroleum product prices.
