According to sources, efforts to reduce tensions between Pakistan and India are moving forward, with the Directors General of Military Operations (DG MOs) of both countries scheduled to have an important communication today. This contact is expected to take place via hotline at around 11:30 AM, during which both sides will review the details of the ceasefire decision made on May 10.
Earlier, on the afternoon of May 10, DG MOs of both countries had also connected, reaching an agreement on an immediate ceasefire.
Security sources have described this upcoming contact as a significant development, indicating that the path towards direct negotiations is opening up, with initial contacts currently underway.
They further revealed that these negotiations are planned to be held in a third country. Saudi Arabia is being considered as the potential host location for these talks.
Diplomatic sources state that representatives from Pakistan and India, along with their National Security Advisers, are in ongoing communication to finalize the timing and venue of these negotiations.
