Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir hosted a special reception in honour of retired Pakistan Army officers and personnel on the occasion of Independence Day.
According to a statement issued by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), a large number of retired officers and soldiers attended the gathering.
During the reception, Field Marshal Asim Munir met with former military personnel and paid tribute to their valuable services and lifelong contributions to the defence of Pakistan.

He praised their experience, guidance and continued connection with the institution, describing their knowledge and commitment as a valuable institutional asset.
The reception provided an opportunity for senior military leadership to acknowledge the contributions of veterans and recognize their role in strengthening the country’s defence over the years.
The event also highlighted the continuing bond between serving personnel and the retired military community.
