The federal government has spent more than Rs. 67 crore on salaries, allowances, and operational expenses for cabinet members during the current fiscal year. This includes federal ministers, ministers of state, advisers, and special assistants, according to official data shared recently. Out of the total amount, around Rs. 407.2 million has been paid as salaries to members of the federal cabinet, including advisers and special assistants. These payments cover basic salaries along with other official allowances provided to government officials. This shows a significant portion of the budget is dedicated to maintaining the leadership structure.
In addition to salaries, the government has also spent over Rs. 266.4 million on vehicles assigned to these officials. This includes expenses for fuel, maintenance, and usage of more than 100 official vehicles. These operational costs add a large financial burden on the national budget and often become a point of discussion among the public.
