Jazz Appoints Zaheer Mehdi as Group Head of Corporate and Regulatory Affairs

Jazz, Pakistan’s leading digital operator, has announced the appointment of Zaheer Mehdi as Group Head of Corporate and Regulatory Affairs, effective June 16, 2025. Zaheer will oversee governance and regulatory support across Jazz’s financial services, including Mobilink Microfinance Bank (Mobilink Bank) and JazzCash, as the company expands its fintech portfolio.

Zaheer has over 30 years of experience in corporate banking, public policy, and financial services. He previously served as Chief Government and Corporate Relations Officer at Engro Corporation, helping with regulatory advocacy. His extensive leadership includes roles at Standard Chartered Bank and Standard Chartered Modaraba, working closely with regulators and policymakers across Oman, Kenya, and Pakistan.
