Board of Secondary Education Karachi Chairman Ghulam Hussain has issued new directives aimed at ensuring a safe, respectful, and comfortable environment for female students appearing in the ongoing 9th and 10th class examinations.
According to official instructions, no complaints of cheating have been reported from girls’ examination centers so far. The board emphasized that examination staff must maintain discipline while also respecting the dignity and privacy of female candidates throughout the exam process.
One of the key directives clearly states that female students will not be required to remove veils, including burqas or abayas, at any examination center. The decision has been taken to ensure that cultural and personal sensitivities are fully respected during the examination period.
The chairman also issued a strict warning that any staff member found violating these instructions will face immediate disciplinary action. The board has made it clear that maintaining a respectful environment is a top priority and no negligence will be tolerated in this regard.
In addition, authorities have directed that no male invigilators should be posted at girls’ examination centers. This step has been taken to provide female students with greater privacy, comfort, and confidence while appearing in their exams.
Education officials believe these measures will help create a more secure and supportive atmosphere for students, allowing them to focus on their academic performance without unnecessary stress or discomfort.
