The announcement was made by AMC Principal Professor Dr. Muhammad Farooq Afzal during a specialized workshop held at the hospital. RIRS uses advanced laser and endoscopic technology to break and remove kidney stones through natural urinary pathways. This approach significantly reduces pain, blood loss, and post-procedure complications compared to conventional surgical methods.

One of the key advantages of RIRS is its fast recovery time. Most patients can return home within 24 hours, making it an ideal option for individuals seeking effective treatment with minimal disruption to their daily lives. The technique is especially beneficial for patients with complex or recurrent kidney stones.
