Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu, Chief of the Pakistan Air Force, paid an official visit to Iraq, where he held detailed discussions with Lieutenant General Staff Pilot Muhand Ghalib Mohammad Razi Al-Assadi, Commander of the Iraqi Air Force.
According to ISPR, the visiting Air Chief was received with full military honors, reflecting the importance of the visit. The talks focused on enhancing bilateral defense relations, including cooperation in training, capacity building, aviation technology, and operational coordination.

Air Chief Marshal Sidhu emphasized the deep-rooted religious, cultural, and historical bonds between Pakistan and Iraq, and reaffirmed Pakistan’s willingness to support the Iraqi Air Force through professional collaboration. The Iraqi Air Force Chief commended the Pakistan Air Force for its combat experience and operational excellence, and showed keen interest in joint exercises, pilot training exchanges, and defense procurement.
The meeting underscored both countries’ shared commitment to strengthening air power cooperation and building long-term strategic defense ties.
