Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat confirmed that the decision was made to protect students’ health and safety amid the ongoing cold wave affecting the region. He stated that the official notification will be issued after a scheduled meeting today.
The minister emphasized that the well-being of students is the government’s top priority, noting that parents had been urging authorities to extend the winter break due to the extreme cold.
