Pakistan has achieved a significant diplomatic and economic milestone after being removed from the War Risk Insurance List maintained by the Joint War Committee (JWC) of the Lloyd’s Market Association.

According to the Foreign Office, the government welcomed the decision to remove Pakistan from the list of areas considered sensitive for war risk insurance. Officials described the development as a reflection of the international community’s growing confidence in Pakistan’s security environment and economic stability.

The Foreign Office stated that the achievement was made possible through the coordinated efforts of the Government of Pakistan and the Pakistan High Commission in London, whose diplomatic engagement played a key role in the successful outcome. The government also expressed its appreciation to Lloyd’s for its constructive cooperation throughout the review process.

Being removed from the war risk insurance list is expected to improve Pakistan’s international business environment by reducing insurance costs and strengthening confidence among foreign investors, shipping companies, and international traders. Lower insurance premiums for cargo and maritime operations could also help facilitate trade and improve Pakistan’s competitiveness in global markets.

The decision marks an important step in enhancing Pakistan’s international standing and reflects ongoing efforts to strengthen diplomatic relations, improve economic conditions, and project the country as a safer and more reliable destination for trade, investment, and commercial activities.
