Under the supervision of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Pakistan will host the first-ever International Qur’an Recitation Competition from November 24 to 29, 2025, in the federal capital.
The prestigious event will welcome young Qur’an reciters from 57 Islamic countries, providing them a global platform to demonstrate their mastery of Tajweed and recitation skills. Preparations are already underway, with Islamabad gearing up to host international participants and distinguished guests.

The award ceremony will hold special significance, as it is expected to be attended by the Imam of the Kaaba, Dr. Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais, along with the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
Officials noted that this initiative reflects Pakistan’s commitment to promoting the teachings and spiritual beauty of the Holy Qur’an, while also encouraging unity, cultural exchange, and brotherhood across the Islamic world.
The competition is not only a religious milestone but also a cultural and diplomatic event, strengthening Pakistan’s ties with the Muslim Ummah through a shared reverence for the Qur’an.
