Rawalpindi Chief Traffic Officer and Superintendent of Police, Beenish Fatima, has been awarded the prestigious ‘2024 IACP 40 Under 40’ by the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP). This annual award, held in the United States, recognizes 40 outstanding police officers under the age of 40, selected from hundreds of nominations worldwide.
This year’s ceremony took place in Boston, where Fatima, representing Rawalpindi, was honored for her leadership and excellence in law enforcement. The IACP president presented the award to her during a grand event celebrating young talent among the world’s top police officers.
According to the IACP’s website, the awardees “represent the top rising leaders from around the globe, exemplifying leadership, dedication, and service to their communities and the law enforcement profession.”
The Punjab Police, in response to Fatima’s achievement, shared on its official X account: “Proud moment for Pakistan!” They added that SP Beenish Fatima, serving as Rawalpindi’s Chief Traffic Officer, is the only officer from Pakistan to receive this award.
Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, also congratulated Fatima for bringing international recognition to Pakistan, calling her a “valuable asset of Punjab Police.” Fatima also holds the distinction of being Rawalpindi’s first female Chief Traffic Officer.
