Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has officially started its post-Hajj flight operation, bringing the first group of returning pilgrims safely back to the country. The initial flight for Lahore, PK-732, arrived from Jeddah carrying 159 Hajj pilgrims, marking the beginning of the national airline’s large-scale repatriation efforts.
Upon arrival, the pilgrims were warmly welcomed by PIA officials, who presented them with floral garlands as a gesture of respect and celebration after their spiritual journey. The atmosphere at the airport reflected joy and gratitude as families reunited with their loved ones returning from Saudi Arabia.
According to PIA, the post-Hajj operation will continue until June 30, ensuring the smooth return of thousands of Pakistani pilgrims from the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah. The airline will operate special flights to major cities across Pakistan, including Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Faisalabad, Multan, Sialkot, and Quetta.

In total, PIA plans to operate 213 dedicated post-Hajj flights, through which more than 53,000 pilgrims will be brought back home safely. The airline stated that all necessary arrangements have been finalized to ensure a comfortable and efficient travel experience for returning Hujjaj.
PIA officials also confirmed that the Chief Executive Officer is personally supervising the post-Hajj operation to maintain service quality and timely flight schedules. The airline emphasized that facilitating pilgrims remains one of its highest priorities, especially during this important phase of Hajj operations.
Authorities have expressed confidence that the entire repatriation process will be completed smoothly, with full coordination between Pakistani and Saudi aviation and airport authorities to ensure safe and hassle-free travel for all pilgrims.
