Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has arrived in Istanbul, Türkiye, on an official bilateral visit at the invitation of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The visit aims to further strengthen the long-standing strategic partnership between Pakistan and Türkiye and enhance cooperation across multiple sectors.
Upon his arrival at Atatürk Airport, the prime minister was warmly received by Türkiye’s Minister of Trade, Professor Dr. Ömer Bolat, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Türkiye Dr. Yousaf Junaid, and senior officials from the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Pakistani Embassy.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar and Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar.
During the visit, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Erdoğan are expected to hold comprehensive talks covering all aspects of Pakistan-Türkiye bilateral relations. Discussions will focus on expanding cooperation in trade, investment, defense, energy, infrastructure, and economic development, while also reviewing progress on existing agreements between the two countries.
The two leaders will also exchange views on regional and global developments, with particular emphasis on promoting peace, stability, and security in the region.

As part of his engagements in Istanbul, the prime minister will address a Pakistan-hosted Business Conference, highlighting the country’s investment potential and economic opportunities. The conference will showcase prospects in Special Economic Zones (SEZs), energy, information technology (IT), privatization, manufacturing, and other key sectors.
The event is expected to bring together leading Turkish business executives, investors, senior government officials, and representatives from various industries, providing a platform to strengthen commercial ties and encourage greater Turkish investment in Pakistan.
The visit reflects the shared commitment of Pakistan and Türkiye to deepen their historic friendship, expand economic cooperation, and build stronger partnerships that benefit both nations through increased trade, investment, and strategic collaboration.
