The Punjab government has implemented a strict winter schedule for all public and private schools across the province, effective from November 3, 2025, to January 31, 2026. In a decisive move to ensure compliance, the authorities have announced a substantial fine of up to Rs. 500,000 for any school found operating before the official start time of 8:45 AM.

According to the notification, single-shift schools are mandated to operate from 8:45 AM to 1:30 PM, Monday through Thursday. On Fridays, the timings will be from 8:45 AM to 12:30 PM. For schools running a double shift, the afternoon session is required to begin only after 1:00 PM.
