Punjab Launches AI Education in All Government Schools, Says Maryam Nawaz Sharif

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has announced a historic step in education, declaring the launch of Artificial Intelligence (AI) education in all government schools across Punjab. The initiative aims to equip every child with essential digital and analytical skills needed to compete in the modern, technology-driven world.

Speaking about the program, Maryam Nawaz emphasized that it will be inclusive, ensuring no student is left behind, and that every child will have access to modern tools and AI knowledge. She described the initiative as Punjab’s historic digital leap, signaling the province’s commitment to preparing students for the future.

Key Features of Punjab’s AI Education Program:

  • AI Teacher in Every Public School: Each government school will have a dedicated AI teacher to guide students in learning the fundamentals and applications of artificial intelligence.
  • 1,000 AI Master Trainers: A thousand teachers have been trained as AI Master Trainers to provide high-quality instruction and mentorship in AI subjects.
  • Curriculum Integration: AI will be formally integrated into the school curriculum within 60 days, Insha’Allah, ensuring students gain practical and theoretical knowledge.

Maryam Nawaz Sharif stated that this initiative positions Punjab as a leader in digital education, preparing students to thrive in a global economy dominated by AI, robotics, and data-driven technologies. She highlighted that the program not only focuses on knowledge acquisition but also on developing critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills from an early age.
