- Contagious or infectious diseases
- Serious neurological disorders
- Patients on dialysis
- Pregnant women
Medical officers in Pakistan will assess and certify each pilgrim’s fitness before departure, while Saudi health teams will re-verify medical certificates upon arrival.
Authorities have made it clear that any unfit pilgrim who reaches Saudi Arabia may be deported immediately at their own expense. The new measures aim to ensure that only medically fit individuals undertake the physically demanding pilgrimage.
