Alkhidmat volunteers have successfully rescued 404 people who were left trapped by catastrophic floods and torrential rainfall during the past two days. Leading the way in flood relief efforts in the flooded areas of Sindh, Balochistan, and northern Pakistan, which includes Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Chitral, is the Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan.
The Foundation has contributed vital relief goods, including as tents, ready-to-eat meals, tarpaulins, and other necessities, in response to the terrible floods. Additionally, medical camps have been set up to offer healthcare services and stop the spread of illnesses that are transmitted by water, and mobile health units make sure that patients receive immediate medical attention.
The Central Board of Management was updated by Ejaz Ullah Khan, Vice President of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan, on the current relief activities. He emphasised the vital role volunteers have played in saving lives and providing supplies. Food packages, cooked dinners, tarpaulins, and other relief supplies are still being distributed nonstop.
Dr. Hafeez Ur Rahman, President of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan, noted in a thorough assessment meeting that several tiers of flood emergency centres have been placed on high alert to manage the current situation. To guarantee efficient relief efforts, Alkhidmat’s disaster management teams work closely with the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) and other organisations.
Many impacted places have been reached by rescue efforts, including as Sakrand in Sindh, Ziarat and Qilla Saifullah in Balochistan, Astor in Gilgit-Baltistan, and Bamburet, Golain, and Mori Bala in Chitral.
