Two oil tankers carrying around 100 to 120 million litres of oil have safely arrived in Karachi from the UAE port city of Fujairah. The vessels were escorted and protected by the Pakistan Navy to ensure their safe journey to Pakistan amid growing regional security concerns.
According to officials from the Pakistan National Shipping Corporation (PNSC), strict security measures were taken during the transfer of the tankers. These precautions were necessary after recent attacks reported near Fujairah, which raised concerns about the safety of ships moving through the region.
The Pakistan Navy provided a strong security cover to both vessels during their journey. Officials confirmed that the escort mission was completed successfully and the ships reached Karachi without any incident. The move highlights the important role of the navy in protecting Pakistan’s maritime routes and energy supplies.

Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Junaid Anwar appreciated the efforts of the Pakistan Navy and thanked them for ensuring the safe arrival of the ships. He said the navy’s quick response and professional performance played a key role in maintaining the safety of the vessels and their cargo.
The minister also shared that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has contacted Iranian authorities to seek assistance in securing the release of two more ships currently stuck in the Persian Gulf. Efforts are underway to bring those vessels back safely.
The safe arrival of these oil tankers is considered an important step in maintaining Pakistan’s energy supply and ensuring stability in the country’s fuel market.
