Afghan media have reported unconfirmed claims that Afghan Taliban Supreme Leader Hibatullah Akhundzada may have been killed in Pakistani airstrikes targeting a headquarters in Kabul. According to Afghan Times, the strikes allegedly also resulted in the deaths of several senior Taliban commanders, though no official confirmation has been issued.
Some reports suggest that Hibatullah Akhundzada was not present at the presidential compound at the time of the airstrikes. However, all communication channels with him are reportedly cut off, and his current status remains unclear.
Afghan Times further reported that Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) chief Noor Wali Mehsud was allegedly present at a residence near the targeted location. According to the publication, confirmed reports claim that Noor Wali Mehsud was killed in the airstrike. Independent verification of these claims has not been made.

Hibatullah Akhundzada, considered the supreme and spiritual leader of the Afghan Taliban, is reportedly missing, with no verified updates on his condition.
Additionally, Afghan Times stated that following the Pakistani airstrikes, Taliban leaders are attempting to reach out to several Middle Eastern countries in an effort to initiate negotiations with Pakistan.
