Pakistan has extended humanitarian support to Nepal as the country faces a devastating natural disaster involving severe floods and landslides. Islamabad has dispatched 100 tonnes of humanitarian assistance to help communities struggling with the aftermath of the disaster.
According to Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, the relief package includes tents, blankets, mats, hygiene kits, and essential medicines. The supplies are aimed at supporting families who have been displaced or left vulnerable by the widespread destruction.
Dar expressed Pakistan’s solidarity with the people of Nepal and offered condolences to families who have lost loved ones. He said Pakistan stands with the Government and people of Nepal during this difficult period and remains ready to provide further assistance if needed.
The scale of the disaster has been devastating. Nepal’s disaster agency has reported 1,341 deaths, while around 4,996 people remain missing. Rescue and relief efforts continue as authorities work to reach affected communities and provide essential support.
