Iran has reportedly requested compensation from several Gulf countries, including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, and Kuwait, over damages it claims were caused during periods of conflict and political tension in the region.
According to Iranian state media IRNA, Iran’s Ambassador to the United Nations, Amir Saeid Iravani, addressed a formal letter to UN Secretary-General António Guterres. In the letter, he alleged that the five Gulf states violated their international responsibilities in relation to Iran during wartime conditions and broader regional conflicts.
The correspondence further stated that, as a result of these alleged actions, the countries in question bear responsibility for providing full compensation for both material and moral damages suffered by Iran. The claim reportedly includes losses linked to economic disruption, infrastructure damage, and broader geopolitical consequences tied to regional instability.

The request for compensation through a United Nations channel highlights Iran’s effort to internationalize its grievances and seek recognition of its claims through formal diplomatic mechanisms.
