Islamabad is preparing for a landmark development as the Capital Development Authority (CDA) advances plans to construct the capital’s first-ever seven-star hotel a project closely linked to Pakistan’s hosting of the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit.
All formalities and groundwork have been completed, and the CDA has now invited international companies to participate through a public-private partnership or joint venture. This move marks a major step toward boosting Islamabad’s hospitality standards and strengthening its capacity to host high-level global events.
The proposed hotel will be built in the Red Zone, one of the most prestigious and secure areas of the capital, surrounded by embassies, government institutions, and diplomatic offices.
