Pakistani politician Mushahid Hussain Sayed shared his thoughts on X (formerly Twitter) regarding Pakistan’s support for the United Arab Emirates amid ongoing financial concerns. He praised Pakistan for helping the UAE recover its $3.5 billion loan, highlighting it as a responsible and brotherly gesture.

Sayed pointed out that the UAE is already heavily committed internationally, including promising $1.4 trillion to former U.S. President Donald Trump and playing proactive roles in crises in Sudan and Yemen. By aiding the UAE in recovering its loan, Pakistan is reinforcing regional ties and demonstrating goodwill toward its Gulf neighbor.

He also offered a cautionary note regarding regional security, referencing the UAE’s demographics, where 4.3 million of its 10 million population are of Indian origin. Sayed warned that, given India’s ‘Akhand Bharat’ (Greater India) ambitions, the UAE should remain vigilant in protecting its interests in the region.

This post underlines the strategic and geopolitical significance of Pakistan-UAE relations, emphasizing both financial cooperation and regional security considerations. By supporting the UAE, Pakistan not only strengthens diplomatic ties but also positions itself as a reliable partner in the Gulf region.

Sayed’s remarks have sparked discussions across social media, with analysts noting the importance of balanced diplomacy and awareness of regional expansionist dynamics in maintaining stability and mutual trust.
