Pakistan’s Tractor Production Increases by 45.74% in FY 2023–2024

In Pakistan, the assembly of tractors had notable expansion in the fiscal year that concluded on June 30, 2024, rising by 45.74 percent over the preceding year. The tentative Quantum Index Numbers of Large Scale Manufacturing Industries (QIM) for June 2024 provided by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics show that during July 2023 to June 2024, roughly 46,272 tractors were manufactured locally, up from 31,752 units in the same period of the previous year.

In comparison to the prior year, the Large Scale Manufacturing Industries (LSMI) sector saw a moderate 0.92 percent rise during the fiscal year 2023–2024. On the other hand, LSMI output fell by 4.70% from May 2024 to June 2024 and by 0.03% from June 2023 to June 2024.

A number of industries had production increases: food, clothing, petroleum products, chemicals, fertilizers, medicines, machinery and equipment, furniture, and wearing apparel. Tobacco, textile, paper & board, non-metallic mineral products, iron & steel products, electrical equipment, cars, and other transport equipment also saw decreases, though.
