PIA to Launch Direct Manchester–Lahore Flights from July 1

PIA

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is set to strengthen its UK operations by launching its direct Manchester–Lahore service from July 1, 2026, followed by the Lahore–Manchester route starting on July 2, 2026.

The new direct flights are expected to provide greater convenience for thousands of passengers traveling between Pakistan and the United Kingdom, especially the large Pakistani community living in northern England.

The Manchester–Lahore route will reduce travel time and offer passengers a more comfortable journey by eliminating the need for connecting flights through other international hubs. The service is also expected to benefit business travelers, students, tourists, and families visiting relatives in both countries.

The launch of these flights reflects PIA’s ongoing efforts to expand its international network and improve connectivity with key overseas destinations. Direct air links between Lahore and Manchester are expected to boost tourism, facilitate trade, and strengthen people-to-people connections between Pakistan and the UK.

The new route is particularly important for overseas Pakistanis, many of whom regularly travel between Punjab and the United Kingdom for family visits, business, and cultural events.

Aviation experts believe the addition of these direct services will increase travel options, improve passenger convenience, and support growing demand during the busy summer travel season.

Passengers planning to travel on the new routes are advised to check flight schedules, fares, baggage policies, and booking availability through PIA’s official channels before making travel arrangements.

The launch of the Manchester–Lahore and Lahore–Manchester services marks another important step in improving international air connectivity and providing more travel choices for passengers between Pakistan and the United Kingdom.
