Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has stated that his country wants to strengthen its trading ties with Turkey.
Speaking in Islamabad to a high-level delegation of prominent Turkish businessmen under the direction of Turkiye’s Minister for Customs & Trade, Omer Bolat stated that urgent measures are being taken to fulfill an agreement with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to increase trade volume to $5 billion annually.
The prime minister gave the relevant authorities instructions to provide Turkish investors a variety of privileges in order to encourage their investment in Pakistan.
According to Shehbaz Sharif, Pakistan and Turkey enjoy perfect, centuries-long familial connections. Reiterating that Pakistani people are anticipating President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s arrival, he extended his invitation to him.
According to Turkiye’s Minister of Customs and Trade, 54 Turkish business firms now have 3.5 billion dollars invested in Pakistan.
The political and economic stability in Pakistan pleased the Turkish investors.
The Turkish delegation expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister of Pakistan for helping the Turkish citizens impacted by the earthquake in 2023.
