On Wednesday, President Asif Ali Zardari congratulated Shahzaib Khan for winning the World Karate Combat Championship title in Singapore.
The president awarded Shahzaib a cheque for Rs100 million during the ceremony, which was also attended by Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, as noted in a press release from the President Secretariat Press Wing.
President Zardari commended Shahzaib for bringing honor to the nation and expressed optimism that he would achieve even greater success in the future.
He acknowledged the vast talent among the youth in Balochistan, emphasizing the need to provide opportunities for their development.
He highlighted the importance of encouraging young people to excel in sports.
Mr. Rind earned the title of ‘Karate Combat World Lightweight Champion’ after defeating all six of his opponents.
Upon his return, the athlete was taken to the Chief Minister’s House, where CM Bugti congratulated him on his achievement and assured him of the government’s full support.
