As smog levels continue to worsen across Punjab, the provincial government has announced revised school timings effective from Monday. All schools will now open at 8:45 AM and close at 1:30 PM in an effort to protect students from hazardous morning pollution levels.
The decision follows Lahore’s alarming status as the world’s most polluted city for the third consecutive day, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) soaring to 412. Authorities have launched an extensive crackdown on major pollution sources, including factories, crop burning, and vehicular emissions.
