An important update has been announced regarding driving permits for teenagers aged 16 to 18 years in Punjab. According to DIG Traffic Waqas Nazir, the system has been upgraded, and from March 1, driving permits will be issued across Punjab, including Lahore.
The fee for the permit or license has been fixed at only Rs 500. Applicants must pass both a road test and a sign test to qualify. Permission from a parent or guardian is mandatory. Candidates must submit their B-Form along with a stamped affidavit of parental consent.
Teen drivers will only be allowed to ride motorcycles up to 125cc. Electric bikes above the approved limit will also not be permitted for this age group.
