Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held an important and friendly meeting with Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani during his official visit to Doha, where both leaders discussed key regional and global developments, especially the evolving situation in the Middle East.
The meeting took place at the Amiri Diwan and lasted for over an hour, reflecting the strong relationship between Pakistan and Qatar. At the start of the meeting, the Amir warmly welcomed the Prime Minister and his delegation, appreciating Pakistan’s active role in helping reduce tensions in the region and promoting dialogue between countries. He acknowledged Pakistan’s efforts in supporting peace and stability during a time of uncertainty.
During the discussion, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned recent attacks targeting Qatar and other Gulf nations. He also reaffirmed Pakistan’s full support and solidarity with the leadership and people of Qatar, highlighting the close bond between the two countries. This gesture further strengthened diplomatic ties and showed Pakistan’s commitment to standing with its allies.
Both leaders emphasized the importance of reducing tensions and improving international cooperation to ensure peace and stability. They also discussed the need to protect global energy supply routes, which are critical for the world economy, especially during times of regional conflict.

The meeting was attended by senior officials from both countries, including Ishaq Dar and Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani. The leaders also held a one-on-one session to exchange views on matters of mutual interest and agreed to continue close coordination moving forward.
The visit concluded with a luncheon hosted by the Amir in honor of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his delegation, symbolizing the strong friendship and cooperation between the two nations.
