According to Turkish security sources, MIT’s covert investigation revealed that Ozgur Altun was a Turkish-origin extremist actively involved in supporting ISIS within the Afghanistan-Pakistan border region. He was responsible for transferring radicalized fighters from Europe and Central Asia to Afghanistan, spreading media propaganda, and monitoring ISIS’s operational activities. The notorious figure was also accused of planning attacks during public gatherings in Turkey and Europe, including concerts, emphasizing his central role in planning terrorist plots.
