The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has agreed in principle to extend Pakistan’s $2 billion deposit for an additional two months.
A senior official confirmed that the UAE has approved the rollover of the funds until April 17, 2026, providing temporary relief to Pakistan’s external financing needs.
Sources said the assurance came after Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar engaged with senior UAE officials earlier this week.
