Work on the K-IV pipeline project at NIPA in Karachi has been further accelerated under the Karachi Water and Sewerage Services Improvement Project, as authorities push to complete the development within the scheduled timeline. According to media reports, officials have now set a new target of laying two large pipeline sections each day in order to speed up progress and ensure timely completion.
The Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation (KWSC) stated that the pipeline installation is currently underway along a 2.7-kilometer shared corridor that runs parallel to the BRT Red Line route. This section of the project is considered technically challenging because of the limited space, heavy traffic movement, and the presence of other infrastructure in the area.
Despite these difficulties, officials say the project has now entered its final stage. Engineers and construction teams are working continuously to complete the pipeline installation while maintaining strict safety standards. Additional manpower and resources have also been deployed to help achieve the new daily targets.
