Saudi Arabia has expressed interest in purchasing a 15% stake in Pakistan’s large-scale Reko Diq copper-gold project, a development viewed as a major boost for Pakistan’s mining sector and foreign investment climate.
The Government of Pakistan has termed Reko Diq a “game changer”, highlighting its massive economic potential. According to officials, the project is expected to generate $2.8 billion in export revenues in its first year of production, significantly strengthening the country’s external accounts.
