Imran Khan Eye Procedure Completed Smoothly, Vitals Stable: PIMS Executive Director

The executive director of the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), Professor Dr. Rana Imran Sikander, confirmed early Friday that the eye procedure of former Prime Minister Imran Khan was completed smoothly and that his vitals remained stable throughout the intervention.

The procedure took place following a request by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to the Supreme Court of Pakistan, seeking assistance in arranging a meeting between Imran Khan and his personal doctors, facilitated by the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP).

Earlier, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar had confirmed that Imran Khan underwent the medical procedure for an eye-related ailment at a hospital in Islamabad. The former premier was taken to PIMS for a 20-minute intervention on the night of January 24.

Hospital officials emphasized that the procedure went as planned and Imran Khan remained stable during the operation, ensuring there were no complications.

The update comes amid heightened attention to the health of the incarcerated PTI chief, with supporters and the political community closely monitoring developments.

The hospital and government authorities have assured the public that necessary medical care is being provided in accordance with all protocols.
