Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited Jamaat-e-Islami headquarters Mansoorah in Lahore, where he held an important meeting with the party’s emir Hafiz Naeemur Rehman. The meeting focused on Pakistan’s overall political, economic, and security situation, along with regional developments.
During the discussion, both leaders also exchanged views on the evolving regional landscape following the reported Iran–US understanding. They described the development as a positive step toward regional peace and stability. Hafiz Naeemur Rehman appreciated Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts in facilitating constructive engagement between the concerned parties.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi briefed the Jamaat-e-Islami leadership on ongoing government efforts related to regional diplomacy and security coordination. He also highlighted Pakistan’s role in supporting dialogue aimed at reducing tensions in the Middle East.
In the meeting, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman raised the issue of Pakistani citizens reportedly stranded in Somalia, urging the government to play an active diplomatic role to ensure their safe and immediate repatriation.

Both sides also discussed Pakistan’s economic challenges and the need for public relief measures. They emphasized the importance of stability and governance reforms to improve conditions for ordinary citizens.
Mohsin Naqvi stated that the leadership of the Prime Minister and Field Marshal played a significant role in efforts toward peace and regional de-escalation. He added that Pakistan’s contribution to reducing tensions in the region would be remembered positively.
The meeting concluded with a mutual commitment to continue dialogue on national issues and strengthen cooperation for political stability and public welfare.
