LDA Accelerates Recovery Drive to Meet Budget Targets Before Fiscal Year-End

Director General Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Taher Farooq chaired a high-level review meeting to assess revenue generation efforts and progress toward budget targets for the current fiscal year. During the meeting, he reviewed the performance, recovery status, and financial targets of various LDA sections, emphasizing the need to maximize collections in the remaining weeks of the fiscal year.

The DG LDA directed all concerned departments to further intensify recovery operations and ensure that outstanding dues are collected efficiently. He stressed that approved cases from the Planning and Design Committee should also be processed promptly to guarantee timely revenue collection and help achieve financial objectives.

Taher Farooq instructed authorities to take strict action against property owners who have failed to pay penalties related to illegal commercial use. He also directed the Directorate of Auction to adopt special measures to meet its recovery goals and contribute more effectively to overall revenue generation efforts.

To accelerate progress, the DG LDA asked Town Planning and Revenue teams to work additional hours where necessary. He further emphasized the importance of facilitating citizens during the final days of the fiscal year by deploying extra staff to handle public matters and improve service delivery.

During the meeting, officials from NESPAK provided a briefing on land-use surveys being conducted for various LDA development schemes. The session was attended by senior officials, including the Additional DG Housing, Chief Town Planner-I, Chief Town Planner-II, Chief Information Officer, Director Revenue, Deputy Director Finance, as well as representatives from Town Planning and NESPAK. The meeting highlighted LDA’s commitment to strengthening revenue collection while maintaining efficient public services
